🌿 Exterior treatments are starting up again next week, May 5!

I’ll be working through all texts and emails first and booking in that order for my Kingston, South Frontenac, Gananoque, and surrounding clients. If you’d like to be added to the contact list, send me a message so you don’t get missed.

Exterior treatments help with seasonal pests like ants, spiders, wasps, and other general insects around the home, keeping them from getting inside as the weather warms up.

Just a reminder that exterior services are weather dependent. We do not spray on rain days, so a bit of flexibility with scheduling is appreciated as we work around the forecast.

AMPM is taking a road trip to attend a workshop. I will not be available by phone until Friday. Follow up emails pertaining to services and spring exteriors will continue to be sent out over the next week.

Over the past few months, I’ve been difficult to reach, and I wanted to share why.

Since early fall, my family has been navigating an incredibly difficult situation after my mom received a terminal diagnosis. She moved in with me, and I became her primary caregiver as her needs increased rapidly.

In December, we experienced several medical crises that led to an extended hospital stay over Christmas, where I spent most of my time by her side. During that time, my work phone was unfortunately stolen from the ER, further complicating communication.

Last week, things changed very quickly, and my mom passed away. While we knew her diagnosis was terminal, her loss was sudden and deeply shocking.

AMPM Pest Control has been largely on hold since mid-December. My company motto has always been family first, usually in reference to caring for your families and homes. This time, it was my own family that needed to come first.

AMPM Pest Control will reopen on Wednesday, January 14th. I will be returning gradually and will need some time to work through emails and activate a new phone to manage texts. I sincerely apologize for the disruption and lack of communication during this period.

If you have urgent needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. I will be responding via email and text as I’m able.

Lastly, I want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Last Call Pest Control for stepping in to help last week. Friends as true as Rachel are incredibly rare, and I’m deeply grateful for her support.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and kindness during this difficult time.

With Influenza A currently circulating in our area, we kindly ask that any clients who are feeling unwell (fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, etc.) reschedule their appointment.

Due to a high-risk medical situation in our household, we cannot risk exposure at this time. Even minor illnesses can pose a serious risk.

Appointments cancelled due to illness will always be accommodated without penalty. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting our family-run, family-focused business.

💚 A Personal Note:
A close family member has recently fallen ill and has had many medical appointments over the past couple of weeks, with more coming up. As a solo operator, this has limited my ability to respond as quickly as usual.

I’m working hard to catch up, but if you have a time-sensitive issue, please follow up with an additional text or email. Written messages are best right now, as I’m often at the hospital and unable to answer calls.
