Today is National HVAC Technician Day, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible team behind Tozer Heating & Air.

Whether they're working in the heat of summer, the cold of winter, cramped crawlspaces, scorching attics, rooftops, or muddy job sites, our technicians show up every day ready to help our customers and support one another. Their work isn't always easy, and the conditions aren't always ideal, but their dedication, professionalism, and pride in what they do never waver.

We're grateful for the care you put into every installation, repair, and maintenance visit. It's not just that you work hard—it's that you do things the right way, with integrity, skill, and a commitment to quality that makes us proud to wear the Tozer name. Will we always get it 100%? When Kyle's work order says 'Residential Install' but he arrives to a medieval beauty!

Rooftops, turrets, and a 360 degree view of this wonderful city sure makes a change from our typical 'dungeon' installs!

So naturally, we now have to call him Sir Kyle of Tozer, Protector of Comfort, Defender of Airflow, Knight of Shiny Sheet-Metal... Pointer of Things?!

Can't beat opening your inbox on a Monday morning to this kind of feedback!!

Sometimes it's not just a furnace tune-up or no-cool service call.
Sometimes it's a family trying to close on a home.
Sometimes it's a looming inspection deadline.
Sometimes it's a stressful situation that nobody planned for.

When this customer called us, they were simply looking for a quick inspection before a home sale. Instead, we discovered a leaking evaporator coil that needed immediate attention — with the inspection scheduled for the very next day!!

Our team did what we always try to do: put ourselves in the customer's shoes.

Because we're homeowners too. We're moms, dads, spouses, neighbours, and members of this community; and we know what it's like when life throws an unexpected curveball at exactly the wrong time.

So our office team, technicians, and suppliers worked together to get the parts, adjust schedules, complete the repair, and provide the documentation needed for the inspection — all within a very tight timeline.

Not because it's easy.
Not because it's profitable.
Simply because it's the right thing to do.

Thank you to this customer for taking the time to send such a thoughtful message. Reviews like this remind us why we do what we do every day.

From rough-ins to the rough… or ruff?

The Tozer Heating Golf team, ‘The Ruff-In Crew’ hit the Kingston Humane Society Tournament today, and while the golf may have been questionable at times, the team spirit wasn’t.

Donald, Herb, Jack, Justin, Kyle, and Jeff proudly wore pink in support of a great cause—and our young gun Jack absolutely launched one, taking home the Longest Drive award. 🚀🏌️‍♂️Way to go, Jack!!

A little reminder that even HVAC companies need HVAC companies sometimes...

Our building's rooftop unit decided it was time for retirement, and because we lease our office space, the replacement falls under the building's contracted HVAC provider.

After a few weeks of propping doors open, running fans, and surviving on iced coffee, we're pretty excited to have air conditioning back in the office.

We wanted to say a big thank you to the crew from GT Air Systems Inc. working up on the roof today!

One thing we love about this industry is that we're all working toward the same goal—keeping our neighbours, businesses, and communities comfortable. Local businesses supporting local businesses is something we'll always get behind.

Turns out "no cooling" isn't any more fun when it happens to an HVAC company. 😅

We’re excited to share that Tozer Heating & Air has been featured in a recent Member Spotlight with Ontario Approved Professionals 👏

It’s a pretty special moment for us—not just because of the recognition, but because it makes us stop and think about how we’ve grown over the years.

And honestly? We didn’t reinvent the wheel.

No shortcuts. No “fake it ‘til we make it.”

We just kept things old school.

Good people, good work, actually caring about the people we serve, and taking pride in the work that we do ... (crazy concept, right?)

Turns out, when you treat people right… they stick around.

And then they tell their friends.

And their neighbours.

And apparently half of Leeds & Grenville!

Next thing you know, your name’s getting tossed around like confetti 🎉

Well, we’ll take it!

We’ve officially reached “people think we’re fake” status 🤣

Twice this week, customers have walked into our office just to confirm that we actually exist, that we're local, and that Melissa is, in fact, a real human being....

(We can confirm — she is. And she’s even nicer in person)

Honestly… we get it.

In a world of AI, bots, and call centres asking you to “press 1 for this, press 2 for that”… talking to the same friendly voice every time feels a little suspicious.

It's both hilarious, and so very humbling! But it's really just us!

Same people. Same office. Same commitment to doing things the right way - and you're welcome to visit us any time!
