Hi Everyone.
I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone who expressed concern over the past couple of weeks. It was a difficult time but I’m starting to get through a lot of things and starting to see a clear path for moving forward.
We will continue to be operational. Just a smaller version than previous. Running an operation that size was started getting the best of me. It was time to make some changes to ensure I was going to be here and healthy for my family.
For any of you who may be struggling out there, a few things I’ve leaned as of late……
1) None of us are an unmovable object. Pretending that things aren’t overwhelming or worry-some or to bury those feelings is not going to lead you in a good direction. It’s ok to be overwhelmed. It’s ok to not have the answer. It’s ok to feel or be vulnerable when things are difficult.
2) Don’t lie to yourself. Don’t get caught up in the “bigness” of something that doesn’t serve you or makes you unhappy just because you feel it’s the thing you should be doing. Whether it be society, your circle or just the inside of your own head, make sure you are making decisions based on the right reasons as opposed to “what you should do”.
3) Talk…… Let people know how you are feeling. Let them know you’re struggling. In my opening up to people I’ve found a circle who have been amazing supporters. In many cases dealing with similar problems…
we all go through things. That’s a part of the human experience. But one thing I’m learning that a very wise person told me…. Struggle is inevitable, but suffering is a choice.
Anyways, I know that’s a lot from Dan the plumber for a Tuesday morning. Mental health good. Plumbing, also good.
As usual, contact us with anything you need moving forward.
All the best,
Dan
