Tips to have green grass in 90+ degree weather.

1) Maintain sharp blades, dull blades can rip the end of the grass, causing additional stress and a white haze on top of the lawn.
2) Increase mowing height to 3 inches at minimum.
3) Avoid double cutting to pick up or mulch clippings.
4) If rainfall is anticipated, don’t be afraid to fertilize lightly. the plant still needs food more now than ever, especially when summer stress is upon it.
5) Avoid daily watering as this does encourage short Root syndrome . Water less frequently, but longer to encourage deeper root growth for a stronger plant.

There’s a lot of confusion surrounding grub treatments, and when to apply them. If you understand a bit about the lifecycle of the adult beetles and the larva, it really comes in handy.

If there’s one thing you don’t want to do is apply products when they’re not needed .
