At Heat Design Equipment, we're incredibly proud to share that we've been named a Top 3 Finalist in the 2026 Ontario Made Awards, with the winner set to be announced on December 1.
As a company that has been designing and building infrared asphalt maintenance equipment in Kitchener, Ontario for more than 30 years, this recognition means a great deal to us. It's a reflection of the people behind our products, from our fabrication and assembly teams to our engineering, service, and administrative staff. Every piece of equipment that leaves our facility represents the skill, dedication, and pride of Ontario manufacturing.
Being recognized among the top three finalists is an honour in itself. Ontario is home to countless innovative manufacturers, and to be included alongside some of the province's best is something we're genuinely grateful for. While we're excited to see the final results in December, we're already celebrating what this nomination represents: local jobs, local expertise, and a commitment to building quality equipment right here in Ontario.
This recognition also comes at an exciting time for municipalities looking to support local businesses while simplifying their procurement process.
Earlier this year, Heat Design Equipment was competitively awarded Kinetic GPO Contract RFSO 26-05. Through this agreement, eligible municipalities and public sector organizations can access our equipment through a pre-awarded procurement vehicle, helping reduce the time and resources often required for a traditional tendering process. Kinetic membership is available at no cost, making participation accessible for municipalities seeking efficient and compliant purchasing options.
For organizations that value buying local, the combination of Ontario-made manufacturing and streamlined procurement creates an opportunity to support Ontario industry while acquiring proven pavement maintenance solutions.
