It's always a good day when the guys send pictures of their completed work! Here is a boiler room that Cody and his team just completed. This system includes a boiler, an in direct hot water tank and a recirc pump.

It runs the homes hot water and heats the basement through in floor heating.

Beautiful weather for a duck… 🦆🌧️ but maybe not so beautiful for your basement!
With all this heavy rain we’ve been getting, now is a great time to do a quick basement check:

✔️ Check your floor drains – make sure water is draining properly and not backing up.
✔️ Peek into your sump pit – is there water sitting higher than normal? Is your pump cycling on?
✔️ Listen for strange sounds – grinding, humming, or silence when it should be running can mean trouble.
✔️ Look for damp spots – walls, corners, and around the foundation can tell you a lot.
✔️ Test your sump pump – pour a bucket of water into the pit to make sure it kicks in.

A little check today can save you from a big soggy mess tomorrow. Nobody wants an indoor swimming pool unless it was planned. 😅

This is one situation where timing matters.
If you smell gas:

🚨 1) EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY

Get everyone (including pets) out of the home. Do NOT stay to investigate.

🚫 Do NOT:
• Turn lights on or off
• Use your phone inside
• Try to “find” the leak

📞 2) Call ATCO Gas 24-hour emergency line
They are equipped to respond safely and quickly.

🛠 3) Once the situation is declared safe

Call a licensed gas fitter to repair the issue properly.
