One of the reasons we prioritize an on-site walkthrough is simple: not everyone wants the same thing.

The same door can be a $1,000 project or a $10,000 project. The same room can be treated as a utility space or designed to the same standard as the rest of the home.

Neither is wrong. They’re simply different.

That’s why clarity comes before pricing.

For this client, consistency mattered. The goal wasn’t just a functional laundry room, but a space that felt connected to the rest of the home in both finish and detail.

The result was a laundry room that no longer felt like an afterthought, but part of the larger design of the house.

Preparation generates a significant amount of dust if it isn’t controlled at the source.

For projects like this, sanding was carried out using Mirka sanding systems paired directly to Festool HEPA dust extractors.

The goal is not simply cleaner floors at the end of the day, but preventing dust from settling throughout the home and onto surrounding surfaces while work is taking place.

A controlled environment allows the project to move forward with far less disruption to the space itself.

With the weather in Vancouver, exterior wood finishes are less about permanence and more about predictability.

Sun, moisture, temperature swings, and standing water all affect how a deck coating ages over time. The important part is not pretending a finish will last forever — it’s understanding how it will wear, how it can be maintained, and how it can be repaired years down the line without creating larger issues.

A predictable coating system allows maintenance to become part of the lifecycle of the deck rather than a complete restart each time the surface begins to weather.

The goal is not simply longevity.

It’s controlled aging, maintainability, and a finish that continues to perform realistically within the environment it exists in.

Spray application produces a uniform, uninterrupted finish across surfaces. On board and batten, where profiles and transitions would otherwise show brush marks or roller texture, it is the method that allows consistency.

This traditional Cape Cod style house with an outdated honey oak kitchen was the perfect candidate for refinishing. The client loved the existing kitchen layout and functionality but wanted an updated colour-scheme to modernize the home.
