Last weekend, we were proud to support the Vancouver - Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, providing traffic management for both the 1 km and 5 km routes.

We were also proud to continue a relationship that has seen us support the Vancouver Run for the Cure in 2022 and 2025, and we were grateful to be trusted once again to help support the safe delivery of this year’s event.

Now in its 35th year, the CIBC Run for the Cure brings tens of thousands of people together in more than 50 communities across Canada in support of people affected by breast cancer.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, participants and our crews in the field who helped make the day possible.

Proud to be part of another incredible community event in the Okanagan. 👏

Our team was proud to play a key role in supporting the Kelowna Apple Race Series, a long-standing community sporting event, with 66 field staff, including Supervisors, LCTs, and TCPs, positioned across the route to help keep runners, motorists, volunteers, and the community moving safely.

Our crews also deployed 50 barricades to help reinforce road and lane closures, clearly define restricted areas, and create important separation between event participants and live traffic.

It was a strong team effort from start to finish, and we’re proud to have helped make the event safe and successful.

Congratulations to all the runners, volunteers, organizers, and everyone who helped bring this year’s Apple Marathon to life! 🏃‍♀️

Meet the AFAD: a safer way to manage traffic through work zones.

Automated Flagger Assistance Devices, or AFADs, help move traffic safely while allowing traffic control personnel to operate from a more protected location, away from the direct flow of vehicles.

By reducing workers’ exposure to live traffic and improving visibility for motorists, AFADs are becoming an increasingly important part of work zone safety.

When it comes to traffic control, creating more distance between workers and moving vehicles can make a meaningful difference.

Celebrating a leader who keeps safety at the heart of everything we do.

We’re proud to celebrate our amazing Vice President of Health & Safety, Robert Clark, who has been named OHS Professional of the Year 2026 by OHS Canada.

Robert has played a key role in advancing health and safety across our company, consistently demonstrating strong leadership, initiative, and a clear commitment to doing the right things well.

His approach to safety has helped us achieve meaningful results. Among his many contributions, Robert has strengthened our risk assessment processes, supported an outstanding record of 127 WorkSafeBC inspections over three years with no stop-work orders, fines, or penalties, and helped guide our Beacon Lite team to COR certification in Ontario.

His leadership also extends beyond our own teams. Robert has delivered more than 25 seminars to Prime Contractors on traffic control responsibilities and WorkSafeBC legislation, and led the development of Fire Safety Training that has reached more than 350 employees supporting wildfire response operations.

As we continue to grow, expand into new regions, and adapt to changing regulations and evolving risks, Robert helps ensure we keep the safety of our people in the field, pedestrians, road users, customers, and communities at the center of everything we do.

Robert, congratulations on this incredible recognition. We are so proud of your leadership, care, and commitment, and thrilled to see the impact of your work recognized.

🏃 For the past four years, our team has had the pleasure of supporting Runsurreyrun and helping create a safe course for thousands of runners, walkers, volunteers, and spectators.

This year, 91 of our team members were in the field, including traffic managers, supervisors, OHS supervisors, LCTs, and TCPs. With the 5K and 10K courses running through major streets in the heart of Surrey City Centre before finishing at Holland Park, careful coordination was essential to safely close and secure the full route.

RunSurreyRun is about more than crossing a finish line. It brings people of different ages and abilities together to promote active living and a more connected Surrey community, and we’re proud to play a part in helping make that experience possible year after year.

A huge thank you to everyone on our team who helped make another successful race day possible!

This year’s BC Road Builders & Heavy Construction Association Fall Conference brought together members of our leadership team, with regional support from Barricades and Signs LTD, for a valuable few days of connection, conversation, and industry collaboration.

We were proud to support this year’s conference as a Silver Sponsor, reinforcing our commitment to the roadbuilding and heavy construction industry across British Columbia and Western Canada.

The conference was especially valuable because it created space to connect directly with industry leaders, strengthen relationships, exchange perspectives, and stay close to the priorities and challenges shaping infrastructure across the region.

It was also a great opportunity to bring broader organizational perspective together with national knowledge and regional experience, helping us better understand how we can continue supporting our partners, customers, and communities as the industry evolves.

We appreciated the opportunity to spend time with the people and organizations helping move the industry forward.
