Long time no post! Life happens (and a Billiards table that I don’t want to get dusty gets installed in the garage) HOWEVER…… I do have a few projects I am planning on doing over the next month. Aiming more towards actual cutting boards vs epoxy projects. Stay tuned!

Since I have finally given this away as a late Mother’s Day gift/early birthday present I can finally post it here! Second end grain cutting board/butcher block ended up at around 25” wide, 15” deep and 1.25 thick. I am super happy with how it turned out! Pictures don’t do it justice (made with Padauk, Purple Heart, Walnut, Yellow Heart, and Olive)

Here's my latest update on the table: the mould is finished, everything is cleaned up, and the first thin layer of clear coat (to seal the wood to the base) was poured last night. I'm excited for my favourite part - making the beaches and bringing the table to life! Any thoughts on me creating a time-lapse of the table-making process? I saw a time-lapse video on TikTok (my account is vandepoxy) and it gave me the idea to do the same. I'll just need to find my GoPro and mount it to capture a photo every minute or so.

Finished up this cutting board! No epoxy, and it turned out amazing! It’s Padauk (orange), purple heart (purple), and walnut (brown) Learned a couple things, and will definitely be making more once the dining table is finished.

Some exciting news. Received an order for a 7 foot dining table similar to my coffee table. Beach themed. Here’s the setup so far. Need to get a second “island” yet, finish up the mould and then the first thin clear layer is ready to be poured!
