I was very focused on getting the transplants in before the rain. Then this fine fellow rubbed up against my leg and scared me to death! Friendly kitty with a weird tail and luckily a collar with a tracker.

Lettuce, beets, and pea transplants have bounced back and are doing well. Just mulched the lettuce with half rotted leaves today. Beets mulched with grass clippings. Peas… I’ll get there. 😅

Mama deer and two little ones (behind the fence in my neighbour’s yard) were in the front garden when I left for work this morning. Good thing I plant deer resistant plants!

Fun project. Added a little water feature in the front yard. Used a feed bowl as the main container and placed my gifted bird bath on some rocks inside it to make a two tiered source of water for all our wild friends.

Haircut time. I don’t know if it really improves bulb growth, but I do know they fit better under lights. Z4
