It has come to my attention that yet again, someone is going door-to-door using our name to rip people off. Selling tree work and leaving huge messes behind claiming we will be back to clean it up. Second Nature Tree Care never goes door-to-door to solicit tree work. Please if someone knocks on your door, do your do diligent research. Call the company. Most worthwhile tree services do not need to go door-to-door to generate work.

Today marks 10 years since I decided to start my company. We’ve had many ups and downs (literal and metaphorical) but I couldn’t be happier. Thank you to all the long time repeat customers and all the new ones to come. Looking forward to many more years as one of Lethbridge’s top Arborist companies.

I often get asked what happens with all the wood we cut and remove. Well, nothing goes to waste or the dump. It all gets recycled into either firewood, or mulch for landscaping. And some of the nicer chunks go to different craftsmen like Josh over at Hartwood. Check out what he did with this old maple tree that was cut down a few years ago. Amazing. 💪🌳

Some before during and after pics of today’s remove and replant job. The birch was in heavy decline with bronze birch borer infestation and the clients decided on a beautiful maple to replace it.🌳👍

Here’s something neat we came across the other day. We had cut down a dead poplar and the original sapling that the tree started from popped out of the middle of the trunk. 🤯🌳👍

This green ash tree had to be removed as a result of frost cracking in its main stem. This unfortunate occurrence can take place when we experience unexpectedly warm weather followed by a sudden and severe cold snap. In many instances, these cracks tend to naturally close up and the tree is able to compartmentalize the damage, essentially healing itself year after year. However, given the tree's specific location and the extent of the split, it was deemed necessary to proceed with the removal.

And another one bites the dust. Unfortunately the bark beetles attacking the ash in Lethbridge are just getting started. We have a long battle ahead of us. This was another green ash that was perfectly healthy last summer and then this year completely dead. If you think your tree is affected or have any other tree related concerns, give us a call. ☺️🌳
