We don’t have x-ray vision.

Mid-build, sometimes you hit a structural surprise nobody planned for. It happens.

The difference is what comes next. We don’t hand off drawings and disappear. We get on the phone with your builder fast and we fix it together.

That’s what full service design management actually means.

Planning a build? Let’s make sure your drawings actually hold up on site.

Nightfall never looked this good.

This one’s officially in the books, and our client was so happy with the finished home they sent me this shot themselves, lit up under the night sky.

That’s the kind of message that makes this job worth it.

Proud of this build and everything that went into getting here.

We don’t design a lot of barndominiums. So when we do, we go all in.

This one is taking shape right around the corner from our office, from the front reveal to the back of the property. Soaring ceilings, huge glass out back, and a floor plan built for people who want space without pretension.

Concept is locked. Permit drawings are next.

Most designers draw a floor plan. We engineer one.

When tile, cabinetry, and doors all land in the same zone, those wall framing members have to perform. LSLs (Laminated Strand Lumber) give us a predictable, dimensionally stable stud that won’t shrink, twist, or bow after your tile is set and your cabinet doors are hung.

Engineered lumber in those critical zones means your grout lines stay tight, your cabinet reveals stay consistent, and your doors swing without binding; years down the road, not just on move-in day.

Here’s the thing though. We didn’t come up with this in isolation. We learned it from our build partners. We sit with them, we ask questions, we listen to what they see in the field. And then we bring it back into our drawing sets.

That feedback loop is what separates a good design from one that actually builds well.

Most homeowners never see this detail. Most designers never ask for it.

We do both.

You wouldn’t believe the transformation about to happen to this Grimsby home! 🏡✨

It’s amazing what a few hundred extra square feet can do to completely open up and transform the floor plate of an old bungalow. While our primary focus is the architecture, providing these early interior views is crucial; it helps our homeowners truly understand the massing, volume, and feel of the space long before construction begins.

Fun fact: This is our second project on this street, right next door to our previous build!

Permits are in hand, and the contractor is already on site getting to work. We can’t wait to watch this take shape. 🔨

This is what strategic engineering looks like.

A portal frame this scale doesn’t just hold a ridge beam. It defines the entire spine of the home, transfers the load, and frames what will become one of the most breathtaking views our clients will see every single day.

Structure is design. And design is intentional.

The most Googled question in custom home building right now.

And the most useless one.

Cost per square foot means nothing without context. Your neighbour’s $600/sqft build and your $600/sqft build will look nothing alike — and perform nothing alike.

The better question? What does your home need to be, and what are you willing to invest to make that happen?

That’s where we start.
