Little Friday drilling… and look who decided to dust off the gloves and jump behind the controls. 👀

Yep, the Bossman is back at it.
Pretty sure these pictures were sent out as proof that he can still drill and isn’t just a professional coffee drinker anymore. 😂

Can’t blame him though — looks like a beauty day to be drilling in Wainwright.

A few friendly reminders for surviving this heat while working outside:

Hydrate like it’s your full-time job — water, electrolytes, and maybe save the 4th coffee for another day.
Take advantage of shade and any breeze you can find. Even 5 minutes can make a difference.
Use the ice in the freezer and throw some in your cooler or towel to help cool down.
Don’t wait until you feel sick to take a break. Heat sneaks up fast.
Light-colored clothes and a hat can save your life… or at least your mood.
If your coworker starts acting like they’re debating life with a shovel, it’s probably time for a water break.

And remember… two weeks ago we were complaining about snow, so we probably shouldn’t complain too much about the heat now. Saskatchewan likes to keep us humble. 😅

Rainy days in drilling season only mean one thing… the mud gets a break, but the maintenance list doesn’t. 🌧️🛠️😅

Mother Nature said “no field work today,” so the shop crew heard:
✨ oil changes
✨ welding repairs
✨ tool clean-up
✨ and finally finding that missing 10mm socket… maybe. 😂

Because behind every good drilling day is a rainy day spent keeping equipment happy.

Boss man finally shaved… and now he’s back out in the field turning augers instead of pushing paper.

Not sure what surprised the crew more — seeing him without the beard, or seeing him back on the drill. 😂

Now the real question is:
Does he miss the comfort of the office chair… or is he remembering why field work was his favourite place to be?

Big news — our fleet just got an upgrade. 🚧

We’ve added a new rig equipped with DT45 tooling, giving us expanded capabilities for direct push projects requiring:

• 2" monitoring well installations
• Larger diameter soil sampling
• Geotechnical investigations
• Environmental drilling projects

This unit is fully set up for direct push applications and also features an SPT hammer, allowing us to take on a wider range of field conditions and project requirements.

There’s something about those early starts — crisp air, quiet sites, and a sunrise that makes you stop for a second and take it all in. After a long winter, it finally feels like everything’s waking back up.
Working outside this time of year has its perks: ✔️ Fresh air to start the day
