Project Blackburn is moving fast.

From demo day to framing, plumbing, and waterproofing, the groundwork for this master ensuite overhaul is officially in place. The oversized built-in tub is gone, and the new walk-in shower is starting to take shape, complete with a custom bench already framed in.

The heavy lifting is done. Next stop: tile installation.

Before we build, we take it apart.

Here’s a last look at the original primary suite at Project Blackburn. The layout wasn’t working. Daily use felt tight, cluttered, and inefficient. A surface update wouldn’t fix that.

We’re stripping it back to framing to open up the space and remove what’s not serving the homeowners. That starts with the oversized built-in tub and the cramped, frosted-glass shower.

What replaces it is a clean, accessible layout designed around how the clients live today.

Your home should adapt to your life, not the other way around.

At Project Blackburn, that meant rethinking the entire ensuite. We are removing an oversized, unused whirlpool bath tub and replacing it with a freestanding tub and a curbless walk-in shower.

The result is a space that is easier to use, safer to move through, and built for how our clients live today. Design matters. But the real goal is a home that works for you.

Welcome to Project Blackburn.

This primary ensuite stopped working for how our clients live today. The built-in tub took up too much space, and the dark finishes made the room feel heavy and closed in.

The plan:

• Remove the tub
• Open up the layout
• Shift to a lighter, brighter palette
• Build a large, curbless walk-in shower designed for long-term ease and accessibility

This one is all about function, comfort, and using the space the right way.
