This retaining wall is only about 15 years old, but unfortunately, it has already failed due to improper construction and a lack of drainage.
Our client has asked us to provide design options and pricing to replace it properly. This will be a major undertaking, as the wall on the opposite side of the entrance will also need to be removed and rebuilt.
This is a good reminder that proper base preparation, drainage and installation are essential when building a retaining wall. Doing it right the first time makes all the difference.
