According to the radar snow has started in the Chatham area.

The weather for now shows between 3-7 cm could fall from dinner time tonight until approximately 10 AM Friday. I will be checking accumulation in the morning and likely start clean up rounds between 7-8 AM if not sooner. Please be safe out there.

We are in for a good storm tomorrow afternoon. After the rain, it appears that as of right now, we are expecting some snow to hit our area around 4pm. Once this snow has accumulated enough, Cleaning up will be started. Be safe out on the roads, as they might be a bit slippery and keep warm.

With the snow storm that is coming clearings will start once the 2” minimum has been reached in tandem with safe road conditions. As always daytime clearing takes longer due to traffic, but rest assured we will be by to clear your property so we ask for patience in these type of conditions. With the snow continuing it will take multiple clearings and may look like it hasn't been done. Stay safe and warm

Looking like a big storm is coming this way this week.

Image below is from the Cleveland office of the USA National Weather Service. I've been watching the models for the past few days as a potentially disruptive winter storm is starting to loom for the region. The models have been drifting the low SE for the past few runs, but a correction is likely over the next day or 2 as the models get fully sampled. Whomever is on the SE boundary will get a lot of sleet. Whomever is in the snow zone will likely see a lot. At this stage, the models are over-amped as per usual this far away from a storm, so no snowfall predictions yet. Beware of any sites or YouTubers giving snowfall predictions this early. They're full of...sleet, and looking for clicks.

I have 2 concerns with this storm: First, it will be long-duration, over a day or two. Second, It will also have strong sustained winds. This will bring sustained blowing snow and poor visibility, with the potential of the "b" word (blizzards aren't necessarily heavy snow-makers: "To be a blizzard, a snow storm must have sustained winds or frequent gusts that are greater than or equal to 56 km/h (35 mph) with blowing or drifting snow which reduces visibility to 400 m or 0.25 mi or less and must last for a prolonged period of time—typically three hours or more.".

So, right now the track is uncertain, the snow/sleet/rain lines are uncertain; the models agree that there will be an impactful storm. I'll update as necessary as we go into the week and what we can expect becomes clear.

4-5" has fallen so far. Most has fallen in the last couple hours. Daytime clearings take longer due to traffic. Please be patient and safe.

First big snow storm of 2022 is coming. With the forecast of the storm, it will take multiple clearings before the storm ends. I will be monitoring the weather and will be going out to clear properties once the threshold of 5cm has been reached. Please drive safe during the day tomorrow and please be patient day time clearings take longer due to the amount of traffic.
