Meet Shawn Beyea — co-owner and master craftsman behind B|A Custom Cabinets.

From a young age, Shawn was drawn to woodworking — developing a passion for precision, detail, and working with his hands. By just 17, he had already established and was running his own trim business — setting a standard for himself that never left.

He later attended Conestoga College for Cabinet Making, refining his craft into what it is today: intentional, disciplined, and uncompromising.

Beyond the shop, Shawn spent over 20 years coaching youth hockey — leading with consistency, accountability, and respect. Today, he still steps onto the ice as a goalie — a reflection of the same focus and discipline he brings into his work every day.

At B|A Custom Cabinets, that standard is evident in every detail.

From fully custom kitchens to the signature range hoods Shawn and his team builds by hand — each project is a reflection of experience, precision, and pride in the craft.

Finished in the soft, calming Tea Light colour, the custom cabinetry brings warmth and character to the room, while the custom-stained wood bench top and floating shelves add a beautiful natural contrast.

Every inch was designed with purpose. Open locker-style storage provides dedicated space for coats, backpacks and everyday essentials, while the tall cabinetry offers generous shoe storage, helping keep clutter tucked away and organized.

This custom built-in was designed to feel like it had always belonged here—bringing warmth, character and purpose to an entire wall while creating a beautiful place for this family to gather.

The crisp Chantilly Lace cabinetry keeps the space bright and timeless, while the walnut countertops and floating shelves, finished with a natural clear coat, bring in the warmth and richness of real wood. That contrast is one of our favourite details—the clean painted cabinetry paired with the natural grain and character of walnut.
