This job may not exactly have been on the schedule for yesterday, but a great client of ours called and said their back yard was completely flooded due to a broken sump pump line buried underground, off a sump pump that was running every 30 seconds, we ran over to inspect. We found that when they had their sprinklers installed the sprinkler company had trenched right through the underground sump pump line in multiple spots, this caused the entire drainage pipe to pack full with mud, which stopped the flow and caused the water to run out of the top of the pipe where the sprinkler lines were cut through, which had the lawn completely under water when we got there. We were able to get some new 3" drain pipe (a task that proved much more difficult than you would expect) dig the trench down lower to avoid the sprinkler lines, and replace the pipe the entire length after the break. You can see the photos of the cut pipe and how much mud was inside!
Another happy client and a potential major issue avoided, sometimes we have to push our schedule to look after more urgent concerns like this, we apologize to our clients who are waiting on some projects to get started, while we try our best to schedule jobs based on when the request comes in, sometimes we need to shuffle things around to get a job like this done sooner, we are so thankful for the abundance of work this spring yet again, absolutely blessed to have so many great clients who call us over and over again for all of their outdoor needs!
