Bennett Road Bridge | Highway 401 | Clarington, Ontario
Limen Civil Ltd. is proud to be delivering the new Bennett Road Bridge over Highway 401 in the Municipality of Clarington for the Ministry of Transportation.
Over the weekend, during a full closure of Highway 401, our team successfully completed Stage 1 demolition of the existing Bennett Road Bridge. This major operation required extensive planning, precise coordination, specialized equipment, and an unwavering focus on safety.
The successful demolition was made possible through the collaboration of an experienced team of project partners:
πΉ Ramudden Canada β Traffic control and coordination of the Highway 401 closure, helping safely manage traffic through one of Ontarioβs busiest highways.
πΉ Powell Contracting β Specialized crews and equipment for the installation of temporary concrete barriers and reinstatement of steel beam guide rail to protect the work zone prior to the reopening of the highway.
πΉ Bridge Busters β Responsible for the engineered demolition plan and ex*****on of the bridge removal. Their specialized demolition team and equipment allowed the structure to be carefully dismantled with precision, efficiency, and no damage to the surrounding infrastructure, while maintaining the project schedule.
Projects of this scale are a true team effort. The successful completion of the weekend operation demonstrates what can be achieved through careful planning, strong coordination, experienced project partners, and a shared commitment to safety.
