☂️ River Update: Precautionary Measures in Place

The City is taking proactive steps as river flows increase, including temporary closures of some parks, boat launches, and low-lying trails. These measures are in place purely out of caution to keep everyone safe.

While levels are higher than normal and expected to rise slightly in the coming days, they remain well below flood levels and there is no anticipated risk of overland flooding or property damage.

Residents are asked to:

🚧 Respect all closures and signage
🌊 Stay back from riverbanks and fast-moving water
🚷 Avoid low-lying areas along the river

Conditions are being closely monitored and are expected to return to normal soon. We’ll keep you updated as needed.

It looks like we're going to get a spot of rain over the next few days!

Reminder - make sure all of your downspouts have been brought down and all of the downspouts are funnelling the water away from your home.

Also, if you are in a low lying area of the city, spot check your basement to make sure there's no water making its way in!
