Samples, Selections & Over Communication
Good design isn’t just about how something looks it’s about helping clients make clear, confident decisions.
On our projects, we mock things up in real life, not just on paper. Paint samples go on the wall. Ceiling details get installed temporarily. Options are shown side by side so clients can see, touch, and understand the trade-offs before committing.
In this case, the discussion was how to handle butt joints in a T&G ceiling:
• Do we spend extra time and money trying to hide them with mouldings or filler?
• Or do we lean into a random-length install, accepting visible joints that aren’t distracting and avoid future cracking or movement?
By seeing it mocked up, the choice became obvious.
This approach puts our client in control of the budget, sets realistic expectations, and leads to better long-term outcomes, not just a prettier photo on install day.
Good building is as much about communication as it is craftsmanship.
