HTI is proud to be part of the construction of the “Guardian” Memorial River Lighting Project on the Carleton Street Bridge Pier in Fredericton.

This memorial will honour the commitment and sacrifice of police officers and first responders, while remembering the tragic events of August 10, 2018 that deeply impacted the Fredericton community.

Our crews and equipment are currently working from the river to help bring this project to life. Once complete, the pier will illuminate with a gentle blue glow each evening, visible from the city’s trail system and surrounding bridges.

We are honoured to contribute to a project with such meaning for the City of Fredericton, first responders, and the community as a whole.

High Tech Industries — proud to support meaningful infrastructure projects across New Brunswick.

Construction of “Guardian”, a memorial dedicated to honouring the commitment of police officers and first responders, is currently under construction on the Carleton Street Bridge Pier. This memorial initiative comes in response to the tragic events of August 10, 2018, which deeply affected the city, community, and the Fredericton Police Force.

The pier will illuminate a gentle blue glow every evening at dusk, run fully lit through the night, and gradually fade at dawn. The memorial stands in the middle of the Wolastoq (Saint John) River, able to be seen by anyone walking along the City’s trail loop along either side of the river’s north and south sides, the Westmorland Street Bridge and the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge.

Work will continue over the coming weeks and is expected to be complete in late July or early August.

🌲 From Raw Land to Ready-to-Build 🌲

Over the past several months, our Forestry & Mulching Division has completed a variety of vegetation management, land clearing, and site preparation projects across New Brunswick.

Whether it’s a future home site, commercial development, utility corridor, access road, or large-scale infrastructure project, our team has the equipment, experience, and dedication to transform challenging terrain into usable land.

Most importantly, none of this happens without the hard work of our operators and field crews. Their commitment to safety, quality, and productivity is what makes these projects successful.

Thank you to the entire HTI team for another job well done.

Need land cleared, mulched, or prepared for development? We’d be happy to discuss your project.

Big structures for a critical transmission crossing.

The HTI team recently completed a 138 kV transmission water crossing upgrade for a regional utility, a project that required detailed planning, engineering coordination, and precise field ex*****on.

To safely complete the transition, our crews first installed two temporary 75’ three-pole wood structures, allowing the existing crossing to be transferred and removed .

Once the line was secured, HTI installed two custom 100’ three-pole steel dead-end structures, engineered to withstand approximately 13,000 lbs of conductor tension. The installation required extensive foundation preparation and compaction testing, ensuring the structures met the required structural and geotechnical standards.

Projects like this highlight the strength of HTI’s Civil and Utility Divisions working together, allowing us to deliver complex transmission infrastructure safely and efficiently.

From foundation work and structure installation to conductor transfer, this project reflects the professionalism, planning, and ex*****on our crews bring to every job.

Proud of the entire HTI team for another successful transmission project.
