One week away. Three days volunteering in Mexico. About a day and a half to build a home from the ground up. And somehow… an experience that will stay with us forever. ❤️

Last week we had the opportunity to join Baja Bound and help build a home for a single mom and her three boys.

It’s honestly incredible what can happen when a group of people come together with a shared purpose. In just a short amount of time, walls went up, a roof was built, friendships formed, and a family received something every person deserves, a safe place to call home.

What made the experience so special was the team around us. Every single person contributed something unique, whether it was leadership, hard work, encouragement, problem solving, humour, or simply showing up fully present. There’s something really powerful about stepping away from normal life for a few days and focusing on helping someone else.

It also puts a lot into perspective. We all get caught up in stress, schedules, work, bills, and the day-to-day pressures of life, and then you experience something like this and remember what truly matters.

Everyone should do something like this at least once in their life if they can. Not because you’re “saving” anyone, but because it reconnects you to people, gratitude, community, and purpose in a way that’s hard to explain until you experience it yourself.

Very grateful for this team, this experience, and this family who welcomed us with so much love. ❤️🏠🇲🇽
