HKC Construction has officially started Phase 1 of the Paving Rehabilitation Program at the Walmart Supercentre Heartland in Mississauga, Ontario.

Our team is on-site supporting pavement and parking lot improvements designed to enhance safety, accessibility, traffic flow, and long-term durability for one of Mississauga’s busiest retail locations.
Working in active retail environments requires careful planning, clear communication, and strong site coordination to minimize disruption for customers, store teams, and daily operations.

We are proud to share the completion of The District Padel & Pickleball Club’s first Canadian location, now open at 1550 Caterpillar Rd., Unit A, Mississauga.

HKC Construction was pleased to deliver this approximately 50,000 sq. ft. facility, helping bring a major new recreation concept into the Canadian market.

This is more than just another sports facility. The District is building its flagship GTA presence around a full club experience that includes 8 super-panoramic padel courts, 7 pickleball courts, M3 Padel Academy training, social spaces, and an on-site PadelGo pro shop. It is designed not only for play, but for community, development, events, and long-term growth in the sport.

We are especially excited to see this franchisor choose Mississauga as its entry point into Canada. It speaks to the strength of the local market, the city’s accessibility across the GTA, and the growing demand for premium recreation spaces that bring people together, promote active living, and create new energy around sport.

Thank you to The District team, project partners, trades, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

Food insecurity in Mississauga has reached a critical level. Over 56,000 residents, including nearly 16,000 children, relied on food banks between June 2023 and May 2024 – an alarming 80% year-over-year increase. Food Banks Mississauga distributed more than 9 million pounds of food during this period, but the demand continues to grow. Our team at HKC Construction had the opportunity to walk through the Food Banks Mississauga and see the incredible work being done to support our community. Check out our video to learn more about the challenges they face and how they’re making a difference.
