This project represented a complete exterior transformation in Torontoâs Summerhill neighborhood, combining structural renewal with custom craftsmanship to create a cohesive and functional outdoor living space. The centerpiece of this renovation was the comprehensive fence rebuild. Working closely with the homeownerâs vision, our team completely replaced the aging perimeter fencing with premium cedar construction, featuring custom-milled posts and caps that add architectural interest while ensuring long-term durability. The new fence system includes a thoughtfully designed gate that provides secure access while maintaining the clean aesthetic lines throughout the yard. â â A distinctive feature of this project was the custom storage enclosure built against the house. This wasnât simply a prefabricated shed installation, every component was carefully designed and constructed to integrate seamlessly with both the homeâs architecture and the new fencing. The sloped roof detail, custom door assembly, and precise joinery demonstrate the level of craftsmanship invested in even the utilitarian elements of the project. Beyond the obvious structural work, this project involved careful coordination of multiple elements. The existing paver patio was preserved and cleaned, the deck stairs were refinished to complement the new woodwork, and all transitions between old and new materials were meticulously detailed. This comprehensive approach ensured that while the fencing was the primary focus, the entire outdoor space now functions as a unified environment. â â The transformation is particularly evident when comparing the weathered, mismatched fencing of the before photos with the warm, consistent cedar tones of the completed installation.
