CHIEF’S GALA.

The Chief's Gala is a yearly event hosted by the Chief of Police in support of Victim Services Toronto. It is a celebration that highlights a highly valued volunteer organization that is respected and essential not only to victims, but also to police officers at the scene of crimes and sudden tragedies.

The Chief's Gala is a high profile event that takes place yearly. Over 1,300 guests attend including police chefs and senior police leaders from across the province, members from all levels of government, and members from the business community. Since 2008, over $3.4 million has been raised at the Chief's Gala.

The 14th annual Chief’s Gala will be held tonight at the Beanfield Centre in Toronto.

Victim Services Toronto provides immediate on-site crisis, trauma, safety and support services to victims of crime and sudden tragedy. This agency works closely, and in partnership with, the Toronto Police and depends on community support and donations in order to provide essential victim assistance programs to the City of Toronto.

History of Fitch Security

Edward Fitchett worked at the Northern Electric Distribution Company (which was soon to become known as NEDCO) in the 1970’s, which distributed electrical products across Ontario. After serving in several positions there, the last being as the Toronto Branch Manager, he left at the young age of 21 to pursue his career in the security industry – drawn to it by a chance encounter with a Security Client making a purchase of a product from Nedco.

Starting out in his parents basement, after several years the business migrated to a 10 ft. by 10 ft. square office graciously provide by an Electrical Contractor he knew, and the company grew quickly into a 1200 sq. ft. facility next door. Over the course of twelve years the Company grew and it expanded a second time, buying a 40000 sq. ft. industrial building in the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue area.

After spending over 15 years at the Lawrence Avenue location it became clear the Company needed to spread its wings and expand again – this time to its present location, a modern 15,000 sq. ft. industrial building it bought in 2008. The Company continues to evolve, in proven technologies, processes and staff. Today Fitch claims a staff of 30+ , a fully stocked warehouse, a fleet of current vehicles, a fully trained and certified Sales, Service and Installation staff and it can claim proudly that it has a staff that cares about its clientele and one that cares about the product they deliver.
