Amanda’s roof was done a while back by a previous contractor — but unfortunately they missed one of the most critical elements of any roofing system: proper ventilation.
🌬️ WHY IS VENTILATION SO IMPORTANT?
Proper attic ventilation is the lungs of your roof system. Here’s why it matters:
✔️ Temperature Control – In the summer, heat builds up in your attic and can reach extreme temperatures. Without proper ventilation, that heat transfers into your living space, making your home harder to cool and driving up energy bills.
✔️ Moisture & Humidity – In the winter, warm air from inside your home rises into the attic. Without ventilation, that moisture gets trapped, leading to mold, mildew, and rot in your roof deck and structure.
