Designing Pathways for Cree Youth

At Figurr Architects Collective, we believe in supporting opportunities that help communities grow and thrive for generations to come.

That’s why we’re proud to support the Figurr Architects Cree Education Fund, created in partnership with the Eenou-Eeyou Community Foundation. The fund helps support resources, programs, and opportunities for Cree youth pursuing academic and career goals across Eeyou Istchee.

This initiative reflects decades of relationships and collaboration with Cree communities, as well as a shared commitment to supporting youth and strengthening communities for the future.

Today, we’re launching our June 2026 fundraising campaign and inviting our clients, colleagues, and partners to be part of it. Figurr will match donations up to $7,000 throughout the month of June.

Chez Figurr collectif d'architectes, nous croyons qu’il est essentiel de soutenir les initiatives qui aident les communautés à se développer et à prospérer pour les générations à venir.

C’est pourquoi nous sommes fiers de soutenir le Fonds d’éducation crie de Figurr Architectes, créé en partenariat avec la Fondation communautaire Eenou-Eeyou. Ce fonds contribue à financer des ressources, des programmes et des opportunités pour les jeunes Cris qui poursuivent leurs objectifs scolaires et professionnels dans toute la région d’Eeyou Istchee.

Cette initiative reflète des décennies de relations et de collaboration avec les communautés cries, ainsi qu’un engagement commun à soutenir les jeunes et à renforcer les communautés pour l’avenir.

Aujourd’hui, nous lançons notre campagne de collecte de fonds de juin 2026 et invitons nos clients, collègues et partenaires à y participer. Figurr versera une contribution équivalente aux dons, jusqu’à concurrence de 7 000 $, tout au long du mois de juin.

Something meaningful is launching next week.

In June, Figurr Architects Collective will once again support the Figurr Architects Cree Education Fund, created in partnership with the Eenou-Eeyou Community Foundation.

The fund helps support resources, programs, and opportunities for Cree youth pursuing academic and career goals across Eeyou Istchee, helping invest in future generations and community growth.

This initiative reflects years of relationships, collaboration, and shared learning with the Cree communities of Eeyou Istchee, and we’re proud to continue supporting it.

Un projet important sera lancé la semaine prochaine.

En juin, le collectif d'architectes Figurr soutiendra une nouvelle fois le Fonds Figurr Architectes pour l’éducation des Cris, créé en partenariat avec la Fondation communautaire Eenou-Eeyou.

Ce fonds contribue à financer des ressources, des programmes et des opportunités destinés aux jeunes Cris qui poursuivent leurs objectifs scolaires et professionnels dans toute la région d’Eeyou Istchee, contribuant ainsi à investir dans les générations futures et le développement de la communauté.

Cette initiative est le fruit d’années de relations, de collaboration et d’apprentissage mutuel avec les communautés cries d’Eeyou Istchee, et nous sommes fiers de poursuivre notre engagement à leurs côtés.

The Figurr Ottawa team recently took part in the City of Ottawa’s Cleaning the Capital initiative.

It was a great opportunity to spend time together outside the office, contribute to our local community, and help care for the shared spaces we all rely on.

Day two at WATS 2026!

Another valuable day of conversations, insights, and industry perspectives at the World Aviation Training Summit.

Our team spent the day connecting with professionals across the expo hall and attending sessions, including one focused on instructor calibration and the importance of consistency across training organizations, a critical topic as aviation training continues to evolve at scale.

Discussions throughout the day reinforced how quickly the industry is advancing, and how important it is for training environments to evolve alongside it, supporting operational efficiency, flexibility, and long-term growth.

We’ve appreciated the opportunity to connect with so many organizations this week and to continue conversations around the future of aviation training centres and the evolving needs of the industry in 2026 and beyond.

A strong start to the week at the World Aviation Training Summit, with valuable conversations and perspectives shaping the future of aviation training.

Opening keynote remarks from Allen Hill, Lee Collins, Miles Morgan, Edward Bagden, and Todd Kisak set the tone for the day, highlighting key priorities across the industry.

Key discussions throughout the day focused on the transition from training to real-world application, accessibility into the industry, and the importance of investing in the next generation of talent, all reinforcing how critical it is to align training environments with the needs of the people they support.

Another recurring theme was the importance of sharing resources and data across organizations, with the goal of strengthening the industry and improving operations at every level.

As both sponsors and attendees, it’s been especially valuable for the Figurr team to hear directly from industry leaders and practitioners about the challenges and priorities shaping today’s training centres.

Looking forward to continuing the conversations and connections into day two!
