August Garden Update!

Harvested more veggies today🌿🍅🌶️

This time of the season is more of harvesting as my first frost date is drawing closer. In my zone 5b, we are about a month away from our first frost date.

Here is what we harvested today

Carrots
Peppers
Tomatoes
Cucumber
Njama-njama.

What are you doing in your garden at this time of the season; planting a fall garden, harvesting, preparing for indoor gardening, planting crops to overwinter, preparing the garden for next season etc.

❤️Harvesting Time !!

Today we had a bountiful harvest of our African garden eggs (African eggplant plant), our big leaf bitterleaf was harvested for the first time and finally some tomatoes were also harvested.

The garden continues giving us fresh produce everyday.

Our Apple pear ( Asian pear) tree is loaded with beautiful/vibrant fruits, and they’re finally ready for harvesting.

My first red pepper to be harvested this season.

It took forever to change its color from green to red.!!!

🌿Big leaf bitterleaf is a beautiful addition to my garden. It took forever to establish and finally it has!!!❤️
This variety of bitterleaf is not well known. It is less bitter than the bitter bitterleaf.
