What an incredible couple of weekends 💜

From Corner Brook to St. John’s Metro, it was pretty special to see so many people come together for the Polka Dot Trot, each with their own reason for being there.

Lockes was incredibly proud to return as Presenting Sponsor of both events and to have out alongside our families, friends and communities made these two events even more meaningful for us.

The Trots may be over for another year, but donations are still being accepted for the Cancer Care Foundation. There’s still time to help support cancer care right here in NL: https://cancercarefoundation.akaraisin.com/ui/polkadottrot/pledge/sponsor/start

One Day. All Cancers. One incredible community.

From one generation of street lights to the next.

Lockes has been around for almost 8 decades, long enough to see street lighting evolve through generations of technology and to have a hand in many of those upgrades along the way.

The latest chapter? More than 18,000 HPS to LED replacements completed by Paul and Chris over the past six years for a long-standing utility partner across the St. John's Region in Newfoundland.

Quite the way to wrap up six years of work. Great job, guys! 👏🏼

On September 20 (Western) and September 27 (St. John's Metro), we’ll be walking together, and we’d love to have you with us.

Join Team Lockes, create a team of your own, or support the Trot in whatever way is meaningful to you.

Every colour carries a story. Walk in the colour most meaningful to you.

There are people who work in the powerline industry.

Then there are people who help shape it.

Together, Calvin and Kevin bring more than 100 years of combined experience to Newfoundland and Labrador's powerline industry.

Between them are thousands of kilometers of line built and maintained, countless projects completed, challenging outages, storm response, and decades of lessons that simply can't be found in a manual.

That experience doesn't sit on a shelf.

It continues to strengthen our crews every day.

Whether it's leading from the front, solving a complex challenge, sharing lessons learned, or helping develop the next generation of lineworkers, Calvin and Kevin continue to set the standard for what it means to be a true professional in the trade.

At Lockes, we know that some of our greatest strengths aren't measured in years of service or kilometers of line. They're measured in the willingness to share knowledge, support one another, and take pride in doing the job right.

We're fortunate to have Calvin and Kevin as part of the Lockes team. Their passion for the trade, commitment to our people, and decades of experience continue to make our crews stronger and our company better.

More than 100 years of experience.

And they're not finished yet.

Behind every transmission line, every restored outage, and every safe day's work is a person.

A person who misses family dinners, works through every kind of weather, trusts their crew, and carries the responsibility of keeping communities connected.

Today, we celebrate those people.

To our linepersons, thank you for the work you do, the example you set, and the pride you bring to our industry. You represent the very best of what it means to be part of .

Happy National Lineperson Appreciation Day ⚡️
