Celebrating Our First Annual Safety Day at Makon Projects 🦺!
Last week, we proudly hosted our first-ever Safety Day, a meaningful milestone in our ongoing commitment to keeping our team safe, informed, and supported on the job.
We were thrilled to have the support of several incredible partners who joined us to share resources, demonstrate tools, and spark important conversations around health and safety. A huge thank you to:

One of the highlights of the event was presenting our first Makon Safety Award to Justin Koelewyn. This award recognizes someone who:
✅ Shows up with a strong safety mindset
✅ Takes initiative to improve safety on site
✅ Speaks up when things don’t feel right
✅ Looks out for their crew, even when no one’s watching
Justin exemplifies all of these qualities and more. Thank you, Justin, for setting the standard and leading by example.
Safety is more than policy, it’s a culture. And this event was a great reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together to protect each other.
