Now is a great time to prune most fruit trees. You'll get more fruit with the bonuses of having them look better with more disease resistance and less likely to break. Same for most shrubs too.
My favourite things in landscaping are design, redesign, renovate yards. It's a bit different, but for some reason I really enjoy pruning too.

A January 2014 project
In this set of walls I used colourful rocks mixed with granite.
The weather was warm enough to make it possible to work. (temperatures need to be above above 6℃ for the mortar to set and kept above freezing until it's hardened)

August 2014 project.
A flagstone step built into a 50 foot long wall. All of the rocks that will be showing (with soil placed behind the wall for planting and a crushed rock pathway in front) were hand picked for colour and or shapes which don't mind close inspection.
