🔧 Meet the Team: Phil 🔧
Say hello to Phil, Journeyman Gas Fitter & Plumber — and Owner — here at Blue Flame Heating + Cooling! Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Phil has deep roots in the trade. He started working with Blue Flame's previous owner back in high school and now brings over 20 years of industry experience to the team. Today, he owns Blue Flame alongside his wife, Rebecca, and the two live in Nanaimo with their two dogs and a cat.

In his free time, Phil enjoys listening to music and staying active in the gym. Phil takes pride in doing the job right the first time — a mindset he's carried since his early days in the trade, and one he now passes on to his team. 💪

🔧 Meet the Team: Kelly 🔧

Say hello to Kelly, our Receptionist and Accounts Receivable extraordinaire here at Blue Flame Heating + Cooling! Kelly has called Nanaimo home since moving here from Montreal at age 10, and she's been the welcoming face of Blue Flame since 2021 — often the first person you'll meet, and she makes sure every visit starts with a smile.

When she's not at the front desk, you can find Kelly relaxing at the beach or spending time with her grandchildren. What does she love most about the job? Her coworkers, and getting to help keep people warm. As someone who's always cold herself, she says working in a fireplace showroom is basically the perfect fit! 😄

This business can be full of surprises. We got called out for a furnace not working and found a large pinecone stuck in the exhaust vent. No other pinecone or large trees in sight. What do you think? Really determined squirrel?

Say hello to Max, one of our Journeyman Gas Fitters here at Blue Flame Heating + Cooling! Max has been part of our crew since 2019, bringing years of hands-on experience to every job he takes on.

He calls Nanaimo home, where he lives with his wife and young son. When he's not out on the truck, you'll likely find him cheering on the Blue Jays, catching a good movie, or spending time with his family.

What does Max love most about the job? Cracking the puzzle of a tricky repair — and leaving customers with peace of mind. 💙
