In this video, we’re showing the entire process of replacing an old window in a stucco exterior!

From carefully cutting back the stucco and removing the old window to preparing and waterproofing the opening, installing the new window, and completing the exterior finishing.

This time, we’re using brickmould instead of traditional nail flanges, creating a clean, professional finish while minimizing unnecessary damage to the existing stucco.

💧 Proper flashing, waterproofing, and sealing are critical! A beautiful window means nothing if water can get behind it and damage your home.

🐜 CARPENTER ANTS DESTROYED THE HOUSE FRAME! 😱🏠

What was supposed to be a simple patio door replacement turned into a shocking discovery!

As soon as we removed the old patio door, we uncovered severe damage caused by carpenter ants. The wooden framing was literally hollowed out from the inside! 😳

⚠️ This is why proper window and door installation is so important!

Poor flashing, improper sealing, and water leaks can allow moisture to pe*****te the walls, creating ideal conditions for wood rot and carpenter ant infestations.

Carpenter ants don’t eat wood like termites. They excavate tunnels to build their nests, often taking advantage of moisture-damaged wood.

✅ Proper sill flashing and waterproof membranes

✅ Correct integration with the building’s weather-resistant barrier

✅ Proper sealing and drainage

✅ Inspection and repair of damaged framing
