When it comes to bathroom renovations, we believe great design is where function meets longevity.

From a design perspective, we love to prioritize:

• Pine baseboards: a small detail that makes a big difference: no swelling, better durability, and cleaner lines over time. Alternatively, tile baseboards can be done as well.
• Hand showers integrated into plumbing fixtures: perfect for easy cleaning, pets, kids, and everyday convenience
• Built-in shower niches for streamlined storage that keep products off the floor and ledges
• Thoughtfully selected shower curbs and floor tile to ensure proper drainage, slip resistance, and a cohesive look. For clients looking to manage costs without sacrificing quality, we also offer ready-made acrylic shower pan options, which are a durable, efficient alternative that still delivers a clean, polished finish
• Timeless finishes over trends so your bathroom ages beautifully

Glade, BC | Exterior Transformation

This Glade home was reimagined to fully embrace its setting along the Kootenay River. The finished exterior now features a vaulted roofline that draws the eye upward, larger windows that bring in natural light and frame the view, and a new deck that strengthens the connection between indoors and out.

Simple lines, neutral materials, and thoughtful detailing helped transform what was once a modest exterior into a space that feels both modern and timeless.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about this door, so let’s talk options.

These Contemporary Outswing Bifold Doors are built for Canadian conditions, combining high performance with a clean, modern look. With thermal break technology, ice-resistant tracks, and triple-sealed gaskets, they’re designed to handle sub-zero temperatures, wind, and moisture with ease.

This is a multi-bifold, meaning you can use just one panel as an everyday door, or open all the panels when you want that full indoor–outdoor connection.

Beyond performance, everything is fully customizable, including the glass.
Choose from single, double, or triple glazing, laminated or toughened glass, tinted, frosted, low-E coated, and more. Special performance glass options are also available for fire resistance, sound control, security, and enhanced durability. All glass options are Canada-certified!

Paired with hidden hardware, floor-to-ceiling glass, custom colour finishes, and long-term corrosion resistance, this system is designed to suit both luxury homes and mountain retreats.

Custom Fireplace Feature 🔥 🪵

This fireplace wall was designed to be both functional and beautiful, anchoring the main living space with warmth, texture, and modern lines.

We installed the RSF Focus 3600 wood-burning fireplace, a high-efficiency unit selected for its clean design and performance. It also has the added benefit of heat dump ductwork to the lower floor for added heating efficiency. The lower half is finished in Brick Series porcelain tile by Julian Tile. A subtle, textural element that adds dimension without overpowering the space. Above, a limewash finish softens the volume and adds tonal depth to the upper portion of the chimney.

A custom black steel wood cubby was integrated beside the fireplace for convenient log storage, adding contrast, function, and visual balance to the overall composition.

At the base, a custom concrete hearth adds grounding and warmth, with a clean-edge profile that complements the surrounding white oak floors and black steel railing.

This project is a great example of how our team blends craftsmanship and design thinking to create elevated spaces that are both beautiful and livable.

Deep Energy Retrofits – are they worth it?

In the past couple of years, we’ve completed several Deep Energy Retrofit projects, where we strip back the exterior to the sheathing and rebuild with performance and efficiency in mind. This includes installing a new air barrier, high-performance windows and doors, exterior insulation, and new siding. We also address ventilation and heating upgrades to ensure the home performs as well as it looks.

Our latest project featured here is a great example. We added 3″ of exterior insulation, topped up the attic insulation, installed triple-glazed windows, and added a high-efficiency heat pump and HRV system. The added benefit is a much more fire-resistant exterior, creating a multi-solution upgrade that delivers energy savings, durability, and healthier indoor air quality.

The owner selected weathered steel siding, a corrugated metal that will develop a rich patina over time, giving the home a modern yet rustic look.
