A proud moment for me as a carpenter and mentor.

A few years ago I met a young first-year apprentice named Jack. From day one, I could see the work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn that set him apart. I had the opportunity to teach him early in his apprenticeship, and later the privilege of bringing him on to work alongside me.

Today, I’m proud to say Jack has officially passed his Red Seal carpentry qualification exam.

Watching someone grow from an apprentice into a certified journeyperson is one of the most rewarding parts of this trade. The long days, the challenges, the lessons, and the commitment have all paid off.

Congratulations, Jack.
