The team is on site this week installing a new 2” duct as part of an upcoming fibre optic infrastructure project.

Using horizontal directional drilling, we’re able to navigate beneath the surface with minimal disruption, making it an ideal solution for sensitive areas and existing infrastructure crossings.

Once the drilling portion is complete, our team will return to pull just over 1.6 km of fibre through the new pathway to complete the installation.

Another great project helping this customer continue upgrading and expanding their communications infrastructure.

Powering growth from the ground up.

As this RV resort continues to expand, reliable electrical infrastructure is critical. Our team was brought in to deliver a complete upgrade, including extending 27.6kV primary lines, installing a new 250kVA padmount transformer, and setting a 1200A distribution panel.

The result is a system built to handle increased demand while keeping operations running smoothly for both the owner and their guests.

Another solid project wrapped up safely and efficiently by the crew.

Wrapping up commissioning on a new 130kW backup generator installation for the City of Brantford.

Earlier this year, our team completed the foundation, installed the automatic transfer switch, and set the generator. Now fully tested and commissioned, the system is ready to step in and keep things running when power matters most.

Great work by the team bringing this project together from start to finish.

Making the most of a stretch of great weather this week, our directional drilling team has been pushing hard across three active sites, completing multiple pullbacks supporting gas, power, and communications infrastructure.

From planning through ex*****on, it’s a strong example of what consistent coordination, experienced crews, and the right equipment can accomplish when everything comes together in the field. Proud of the way the team continues to deliver safe, efficient results while keeping production moving across all locations.

Momentum like this is what keeps projects on track and clients confident.

Not your average day on the fairway. ⛳️

Our civil team recently completed a directional drilling installation across the fairway of a popular local golf course, successfully installing 2x 4” HDPE conduits for power.

By utilizing horizontal directional drilling, we were able to bring the conduits across the fairway without any surface disruption or the need for open trenching. This approach preserved the course conditions and eliminated the need for major restoration.

A great example of how trenchless solutions keep critical infrastructure moving while respecting the spaces around it.

Keeping the lights on starts with proactive work in the field.

Our lineman team was recently called in after a fallen branch made contact with two phases, resulting in blown primary fuses and an unexpected outage. Following the incident, we carried out essential tree trimming to restore and maintain the required 4-meter clearance around overhead primary lines.

Vegetation management isn’t just routine maintenance, it’s a critical part of system reliability and public safety. Trees encroaching on primary lines are one of the leading causes of outages, equipment damage, and potential fire hazards. Maintaining proper clearance helps prevent faults, reduces downtime, and ensures safe, uninterrupted power delivery to the community.

Great work by the team for responding quickly and executing the job safely and efficiently.

Upgrading critical infrastructure where it matters most.

Our lineman team was on-site at an essential water treatment facility, safely removing an existing pole top switch and installing a new S&C Alduti-Rupter switch. Using our bucket truck and digger derrick, the crew delivered a flawless changeout, ensuring dependable service for a facility the community relies on daily.

Proud of the team for another job done right with a focus on safety and quality!

A look at how we keep projects moving while minimizing disruption.

Our directional drilling team installed two 4" ducts beneath the roadway, creating a path for new cables as part of a building service upgrade from 200A to 400A. By drilling below grade, we’re able to complete the work without stopping or rerouting traffic, while also reducing restoration requirements.

Alongside this, our hydro-vac truck was used to safely daylight existing utilities, allowing for accurate crossings and protecting critical infrastructure throughout the install.

Efficient planning, controlled ex*****on, and a focus on safety at every step!

Not all critical work is visible once a project is complete.

Our civil crew recently repaired a failed conduit duct bank, carefully excavating the area, replacing the damaged section, and installing a new concrete encasement to restore full protection to the system.

Duct banks are the backbone of underground electrical infrastructure. Proper repair and encasement are essential to prevent future damage, maintain system integrity, and ensure long term performance.

Great work by the team executing the repair safely, efficiently, and to spec. This is the kind of behind the scenes effort that keeps projects moving forward.

We are making major progress across multiple electrification projects.

The first photo shows our electrical team getting set up to pull 250MCM conductors through conduit to feed 77 separate units. Work at this scale takes planning, coordination, and a crew that knows how to execute safely and efficiently.

At another location, our team is upgrading the overhead infrastructure as part of a full electrification scope. We are modernizing the system and increasing capacity to support long term growth.

The second photo highlights our lineman crew installing new pole top transformers, a key step in delivering reliable power to the site.

From underground distribution to overhead upgrades, this is what full scope electrification looks like. We are proud of both crews for the professionalism and teamwork they bring to every phase of the job.

Our Powerline team is taking advantage of this week’s warmer weather in Picton, setting and framing new hydro poles as part of a complete infrastructure upgrades.

These milder conditions make a big difference in productivity and safety, and the crew is making the most of every opportunity to keep projects moving forward.

Let’s hope this is a sign of an early spring and more great working weather ahead!
