This past month has gone by in what feels like the blink of an eye and an eternity at the same time.

Square One marked its 2nd year of business in the Battlefords in July and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support of the people in this community. ❤️

In July, we also said farewell to Braden Murdoch as he returned to his previous career of welding. Square One started as a dream around the kitchen table, bouncing ideas off our closest friends and couldn’t have become a reality without the hard work of this guy! We were super lucky to call you colleague and still, friend. 👋

But the biggest reason we gathered today was to remember Jordy. Today marked his 19th birthday and we spent the evening celebrating, remembering, laughing and sprinkling some tears. We are choosing to honor your life, Jordy, by remembering and cherishing the time we had with you and letting go of the time we’ve lost.

Square One has shut down all operations today to honour and remember this guy.

We can’t believe that one week ago we celebrated having you around for a whole year and this week we mourn the hole left in our hearts with your passing. Jordy, you will always be family to us and we are nothing but proud of the way you lived your life and loved others.

Square One Contracting is built on a faith in Jesus Christ and we believe this is not the end for Jorden but the most beautiful beginning of his eternal life.
Until we meet on the other side ❤️
