::: REAL HOT ::: …in the hot tub. Better deck access with this little site cast concrete stair with cantilevered stringer, just because that’s cool. Some thick rebar in there because that’s cool too, helps keep it nice and stiff. Attentive forming and stripping by Jim. A little sacking and we will take a few more closeups.

::: RED WOOD & BLUE ::: Blueridge garage getting final touches. We installed the rubber flooring yesterday with much effort and knee pain and powered up the cove lighting strips today (electricians seemed to be pain free). I subconsciously snapped pics of the colours of the Montreal Canadiens of course.

::: WOW THAT’S A BIG ONE ::: with shower niches as with everything go big or go home. Big pump bottles and backscratchers alike can nestle comfortably in this 24 x 24 orange safe haven. I’m gonna spec these tiles again.

::: GARAGE ::: interior and exterior plywood details contrast with the garage black siding and metal trims, with some happy orange tiles to keep a smile on your face as you wash off the sweat, splash water on your face and put your used paper towel in the stainless in-wall garbage. I can’t tell you how much joy this brings me: ie. to not have a client (otherwise awesome of course!) buy an ugly garbage can at the end of the project that always resides awkwardly and un-architecturally somewhere on the beautiful tiled floor.

::: COMING ::: ...soon to a bathroom near you (if you live in North Van). A 3 piece powder room to delight the shredded and the distraught (and the cool people that love there!). The orange tile has been proposed for its amazing powers of happiness. The white tile is glossy and pure as the driven virginal snow reminding us of our innocent beginnings when we took our first breaths...the grey tile reminds us of the strong earth below our feet and in the mountains surrounding us, and how it will still be here once humanity is long gone.
