Here at AXA Sandblasting, we get asked about textures and levels. Many clients see or say they want a heavy blast, only to realise that what they are asking for is too much. It is why we do a test blast so that clients can see what it is they are asking for, and some of them change their minds. On average, we do between a light and medium blast because the texture looks so good for what they are looking for.

Our Sister company Pacific Dustless Blasting was too busy to be able to do this SFU job, and so AXA was asked by Pacific to come in and do this lovely new walkway for the North Burnaby Campus. It took a few days, but our blasters worked hard and diligently to ensure a textured surface for when the snow comes. Our Blaster; Heather AKA Little Hedgie did an amazing job along with the rest of the team.

A lovely after shot of the pillars inside the lobby of a condo building. The client asked that we removed the paint and the plaster off the concrete pillars so that they can do their renovations inside.

A client by the name of Ali, called AXA Sandblasting in do some paint removal on parking stalls and light stands for IKEA in Richmond, BC. The paint originally thought to be latex based or something of the similar nature due to peeling, turned out to be a type of paint called Xylene. Making it much harder to remove with glass abrasive. We used a product called 10x and have since added 10x to our abrasive used line.

During November and December of 2022, AXA Sandblasting was contracted to help out at a yard of the MOA or Museum of Anthropology project and age texturing fresh concrete to match what is already at place in the UBC location. We ran duel blasters and a lot of work was done that winter.
