Rooted in legacy and built with integrity, ABCD Contracting is the vision of Chris Johnson—a proud Peterborough native and third-generation roofer whose connection to the trades was shaped early in life. Chris credits the development of his work ethic to time spent working alongside his uncle on the family farm, where long days and honest labor instilled the
values that guide his business today. A committed community member, Chris is an active participant in the Norwood Lions Club and previously served with the Alexandria & District Lions Club, reflecting a deep dedication to service and local engagement. With a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and community, Chris founded ABCD Contracting, naming it after the people who matter most: Arianna (daughter), Beth (wife), Chris (himself), and Dominic (son). The name is a daily reminder of the love and motivation that fuel his work. Initially focused on roofing, the company has since expanded to offer full-scale building and renovation services, delivering high-quality solutions with a personal touch. Most recently, ABCD Contracting completed two standout community projects for local pharmacies: one involving the full interior construction of a new commercial building, transforming it from an empty shell into a turnkey retail space; and the other a thoughtful renovation of an older structure, updating it with modern features while preserving its heritage charm. These projects exemplify the company’s versatility and commitment to serving local needs with excellence.
