This is what years of neglect looks like in your dryer exhaust.

Deemed this one ā€œuncleanableā€.

Dryer vent was part of todayā€™s duct cleaning package. Well.. was supposed to be. Ended up having to completely remove the dryer exhaust and reinstall new piping.

Luckily there was an immense amount of condensation build up that kept the lint in this pipe wet.

Homeowner: every time the a/c turns on, thereā€™s a puddle under the furnace.

Why?

The drain in the A coil was plugged.

How?

Most likely from the last duct cleaning.
There are 2 supply mains in this system, but only 1 previous vacuum opening was made. Which means they blew the dirt from the second main all the way across the plenum and hoped it would reach the vacuum in the other duct main.
What actually happens, even if you have the strongest duct cleaning vacuum in the world, the dirt drops into the plenum and lands on your A coil, and eventually plugs its drain line.
