Glass railings look amazing, but aren’t they a nightmare to keep clean?

That’s one of the most common concerns we hear from homeowners.

Here’s something that might surprise you. The glass railing in this video hasn’t been cleaned in over TWO YEARS, yet it still looks great!

The secret? Rain naturally washes both sides of the glass, unlike windows protected by roof overhangs.

Of course, if you have kids or dogs leaving fingerprints and nose prints everywhere, that’s a different story! But kids grow up, and those little fingerprints eventually become a thing of the past.

When your backyard has everything you need, staying home starts to feel pretty good.

We designed and built this multi-level backyard around the existing elevation — creating a large PVC deck with a double-bay louvered pergola on the upper level and a private pool retreat below.

From the grading and irrigation to the retaining walls, landscaping, stonework and even footings for a future treehouse, every part of the yard was planned to work together.

Sometimes a challenging elevation gives you the opportunity to create something much more interesting than a flat backyard.

A swim just steps from your main floor. An evening by the fire one level down. 🌿

We designed and built this Toronto backyard around two levels: an upper deck with a built-in swim spa right outside the door, and a lower lounge with a fire table for slowing down at the end of the day.

Surrounded by greenery, each space gives you another reason to spend more time outside.

Deck stairs aren’t always an obvious yes.

You give up some backyard space and add another access point, but if you actually use the space below your deck, walking through the house every time gets old pretty quickly.

For me, convenience wins on this one.
