Tykem is looking to have experienced Journeyman and 4th year apprentices to join our team. We have had great support from our community that has allowed us to grow into the company we are, and now we need a little help!!

Residential, commercial and Agricultural experience is an asset.

Grade 10 Internship!
This program is in day 1 today and we have the privilege of being asked to be a part of it. Olds high school has organized a 3 day internship for all its grade 10’s in the areas of work they would like to pursue after graduation. Over 140 grade 10 students have been dispersed throughout Olds and central Alberta to gain experience in the work force. Tykem is hosting 3 students and we are excited to have them give the electrical trade a try. Some training in the shop on our demonstration wall and then into the field to do some hands on experience. This is such a great program for both students and employers as we work together to train and give exposure to the next generation. Hats off to Jana Kemmere who spearheaded the idea at Olds High and also to her team that made all the placements happen. There’s a lot of benefits about living in a small town and this is one of them!
