Basement remodel update 🔨 Yesterday I said we were sanding today, but I ran out of mud 😅 So we’re getting the final coat and touch-ups done first. Once this dries, we’re coming back to sand everything smooth and keep this basement moving.

I walk through the process step by step, including how to measure and cut the corner bead, join the corners properly, apply drywall compound, and finish the bulkhead so everything comes out clean, straight, and ready for sanding.

Look what was happening under this cracked concrete sill.

In this video, we remove a damaged precast concrete sill that was over 6 feet long and expose the deteriorating brick underneath. I’ll take you through the repair process, from removing the old sill and damaged masonry to rebuilding the brickwork and installing the sill back in place.
