π΄ Wood fence pressure wash + colour restoration in Nepean
This fence had two things working against it - organic growth (mold and algae) across the boards, and significant UV greying from sun exposure. A single wash wouldn't have addressed both, so we used a two-step approach: a biological cleaning treatment first to clear the mold and algae, then an acid-based brightening treatment to lift the UV grey and restore the natural wood colour underneath.
π UV greying happens when prolonged sun exposure breaks down the surface layer of the wood, turning it flat and colourless. It's not dirt - regular pressure washing alone won't touch it. The brightener reverses that oxidation and brings the grain back to its natural tone before any staining or sealing goes on.
Results depend on the condition of the wood. Deeply weathered, cracked, or previously stained boards respond differently than surface-level greying. What you see in this photo reflects the actual condition of this specific fence, we'll give you an honest assessment of what's achievable on yours before any work begins.
