As part of our on-going partnership with the City of Ottawa, we have once again come together to host an educational drop-in event focused on commercial vehicle blind-spots and safety, at Lansdowne Park!

Our tri-axle and fleet safety truck, accompanied by our driver, a health and safety team member, and city of Ottawa representatives, put on a live demonstration to promote awareness when it comes to commercial vehicle safety. The opportunity to sit in our truck allowed participating pedestrians and cyclists to experience the vehicle's scale and blind-spot difficulties firsthand.

We are proud to continue our partnership with the City of Ottawa to promote roadway education and safety.

We are honored to recognize and celebrate Tyler Ambo for his 15 years of dedicated service with Tomlinson.

Tyler began his career early with Tomlinson and has since worked across different divisions and areas of the organization. His journey started as a laborer with a grading and heavy civil crew, providing him with a strong foundation in construction operations. He then moved on to work with the Quality Control (QC) team for a few years before moving into a Project Coordinator role. This diverse experience has allowed Tyler to develop a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and the many facets of our business. Currently, Tyler has taken on the role of Assisant Superintendent in Training, where he continues to expand his leadership skills and deepen his understanding of field operations. He has embraced the challenges of this new role with enthusiasm and is quickly learning the many aspects of supervision.

Over the years, Tyler has contributed to numerous projects, taking on a variety of roles and responsibilities. His multidisciplinary approach and dedication have been instrumental to the success of projects such as the EOC, Bantree, Carleton University, and many others. Tyler's growth and development within the company reflect his strong work ethic, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Tyler embodies our core values of Growth, Driven, and Committed. He is always looking for opportunities to learn, improve, and contribute to the success of the company. His dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to take on new challenges make him a valued member of the team.
