🏆 GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN | Silver Certification

We're proud to share that Pine View Acres has earned Silver in the Residential Kitchen category of this year's GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards.

We share this recognition with Sonya Kinkade Design. The project is now in the running for the People's Choice Award, decided by public vote.

Pine View Acres is a particularly personal project for Sonya Kinkade: it's her own kitchen. The design and craftsmanship are exceptional, and we're honoured she chose to collaborate with Laurysen to help bring it to life.

Now in its 19th edition, the GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN presented by Int.design is an international competition recognizing excellence in architecture, interior design, product design, and more.

We're thrilled to share that Satinwood Sanctuary has earned Gold in the Residential Kitchen category of this year's GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards.

Gold certification is the highest of three certification tiers, and it puts Satinwood Sanctuary in the running to become a Grand Winner at the Gala this October in Montreal, QC. It is also eligible for the People’s Choice Award, chosen by the public.

50 Years of Paul Brydges! 🎉

We're celebrating an incredible milestone: 50 years of dedication, craftsmanship, knowledge, and loyalty from Paul Brydges.

Paul's journey began when he was hired by John Laurysen, learning the craft alongside the cabinet makers in the original Laurysen shop. He started in cabinet assembly, and it didn't take long for his natural talent to shine through. Over the years, Paul moved into commercial millwork and specialty projects, spending many years in the Specials Department creating unique and challenging pieces. Eventually, he began installing many of the special cabinets he'd built himself, bringing his craftsmanship full circle from the shop to the customer's home.

Today, Paul is an invaluable member of our Service Department. If there's one person who knows a Laurysen kitchen inside and out, it's Paul, and many of our customers specifically request him by name. (Once you've worked with him, you understand why!)

50 years is an extraordinary achievement. We're incredibly proud and fortunate to have Paul as part of the Laurysen Kitchens team.

Congratulations, Paul, on this amazing milestone, and thank you for 50 years of craftsmanship.
