Recently, celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Mississippi Mills Child Care Centre. With room for 151 children, this is our largest child care centre yet!

Designed by CSV Architects and delivered in collaboration with , this new facility creates a bright, engaging space where children can learn, play, and grow. It was thoughtfully designed to ensure every element was crafted with the occupants in mind.

Congratulations to the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, as well as the children, parents, and staff who will be creating new memories in this new space!

History Ottawa‘s doors are open!

Designing a space meant to help elevate Ottawa’s downtown core was both a privilege and a remarkably exciting experience for CSV Architects. The completion of this project marks the successful transformation of the old Chapters store into a dynamic new space for live events and entertainment.

Artists, audiences, and visitors will be greeted with unforgettable experiences every time they step into this vibrant and atmospheric venue.

Congratulations to Live Nation Canada on this exciting milestone. We look forward to seeing History Ottawa be-come an important part of Ottawa’s entertainment scene for years to come!

Congratulations to Passive House Canada and Salus on a successful Passive House Pulse Ottawa event!

Hosted at our newly completed project, 56 Capilano, the event focused on the value of high-performing buildings, and the importance of affordable housing.

The presentation, led by CSV’s Darryl Hood and Salus’ Evan Eastwood, offered both a technical deep dive and a meaningful look at the purpose behind the project. Attendees were invited to tour the building with members of the project team, including Darryl, Alex, and Kate, followed by a networking session to finish the evening.

Thank you to Passive House Canada for organizing the event, and to Salus Ottawa for hosting us. We were proud to help share our project that supports such an important cause.

CSV Architects is thrilled to share that our office space has achieved Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ (RHFAC).

This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to creating spaces that are inclusive and accessible to everyone. Our accessibility journey began with the goal for every person to move through and experience our spaces with independence and ease.

Achieving a rating score of 79.1%, this certification demonstrates our dedication to removing barriers and exceeding standard compliance. From a ground-floor location and universal washroom to clear pathways, accessible workspaces, and barrier-free amenities, our office was designed with inclusion in mind.

Recently CSV volunteered to assemble cribs for a new intergenerational early learning centre for Andrew Fleck Children's Services at Perley Health .

This expansion includes 49 new childcare spaces, and will support children and seniors alike, providing opportunities for shared activities, and hands on learning experiences in inclusive communal gathering spaces.

Capilano is Salus' new four-storey supportive housing community that offers 54 affordable studio apartments, including eight barrier-free units, for older adults facing mental health and substance use challenges.

Every detail was designed to emphasize well-being, from independent living spaces to shared amenities like multi-purpose programming areas and a teaching kitchen for community meals and skill-building.

Ottawa Salus’ headquarters and on-site support teams have been integrated into the basement floor of the building, providing direct access to the care and attention they may need.

“Home is where hope begins.”

Salus' new building at 56 Capilano, Ottawa, ON is officially open and ready to make a difference in the community.

The ribbon cutting event was a wonderful celebration, and featured inspiring words from several speakers, including Salus’ President & CEO Mark MacAulay.

CSV is proud to have been the architect for this project. With the incredible support of McDonald Brothers Construction and CAHDCO throughout construction, and funding from the City of Ottawa and the Government of Canada, this project came to life.

A big congratulations to Salus, and a heartfelt thank you for trusting us with your vision.

Happy Earth Day! 🌍

Participating in the Ottawa Riverkeeper River Cleanup is an annual tradition at CSV Architects. It aligns with our commitment to sustainable, environmentally responsible design, and we’re proud to help protect the natural spaces that make our community thrive.

This year, CSV’s team, along with other dedicated volunteers, helped remove 90 pounds of garbage from Andrew Haydon Park!

Thank you to Alex Callisto from the Mohawk Group for organizing this with CSV, and to Ottawa Riverkeeper and everyone who continues to support a cleaner, healthier environment.

CBC Ottawa has recently featured the new Ottawa Salus residence on Capilano Drive, a project we were honoured to design. This building was thoughtfully created to support individuals living with mental health challenges as they age, combining accessible architecture with the wraparound services that help residents live independently.

Just recently, Salus has welcomed its first resident into the building. Seeing this project come to life is truly rewarding. We’re grateful to Ottawa Salus for trusting us with their vision that supports mental wellness and expands the possibilities of supportive housing in our city.

Congratulations to the entire Salus team on this huge milestone!
