This month we're marking 21 years with Lindsay!

As our General Manager, Lindsay helps ensure the team delivers every project on time, on budget, and with clients who are genuinely happy at the end. He's the person who knows everyone, always has a joke ready, and is never far from a golf course when the weekend rolls around.

The decisions that change how a room feels aren't always the ones you notice first.

Before a single material is chosen, a designer is thinking about four things:

1. The right colour makes a ceiling feel higher, a room feel larger, and a space feel like it was always meant to look this way. The wrong one does the opposite, and no amount of furniture fixes it.
2. Where a window sits, how a room is oriented, and where a fixture is placed. These choices shape how a space feels morning to night. Get them right, and the room works without you knowing why.
3. The trim profile, the grout colour, and the hardware finish. None of them are the point on their own. Together they're what makes a space feel complete.
4. The materials you live with every day matter most. The ones under your feet, at your fingertips, and catching the light on a Tuesday morning. Texture, finish, and weight change how a space feels in ways that are hard to explain but impossible to ignore.

Because thoughtful design isn't just about how a space looks, it's about how all the details work together to make it feel right.

We recently celebrated 3 years with Mitchell!

As one of our Estimators and the liaison between Amsted, our trades, and suppliers, Mitchell plays a key role in keeping projects accurately budgeted and well coordinated behind the scenes. He approaches everything methodically, thinking through every step carefully so nothing gets missed.

Mitchell is motivated by watching something that started as drawings and numbers evolve into a finished product that a homeowner is genuinely excited to enjoy.

He's the kind of person who makes a complex process feel a lot more manageable, and we are happy to have him on the team!

In July, we celebrated 9 years with Jason!

With 39 years in the industry, Jason brings a wealth of experience to every custom home and renovation he oversees. As a Project Manager, he has a real passion for the technical side of construction, and an equally strong passion for making sure his clients understand it too. He loves explaining what's happening behind the scenes, walking people through the process so nothing feels like a mystery.

He's one of the friendliest people you'll meet on a job site, and he genuinely lights up solving a tricky structural challenge almost as much as he does seeing the smiles at the end of a project.

His advice: know that it takes time to do it right. It's a simple reminder, but an important one.
